How to Measure Your Dog

To ensure the best fit, use a soft measuring tape and take all measurements while your dog is standing naturally.

1. Chest Girth (most important)

Measure the widest point of the chest, right behind the front legs.
➜ This is the primary measurement for jackets, raincoats and winter clothing.

2. Neck Girth

Measure around the base of the neck where the collar naturally sits.
➜ Add 2–3 cm for comfort.

3. Back Length

Measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
➜ Make sure your dog stands straight.

4. Weight (secondary help)

Useful for breeds with unique proportions.

Tips for Choosing the Right Clothing Size

• If between two sizes → choose the larger one
• Chest girth is the most important measurement
• For long-haired breeds, add 2–4 cm of extra space
• Winter coats require slightly more room due to inner lining
• Slim-fit raincoats should be closer to body size
• Dogs with deep chests (greyhound types) may need custom-fit models

Fit Check Before Use

✔ The coat should not restrict walking or running
✔ You should fit 2 fingers under the neckline comfortably
✔ The back length should not go past the tail
✔ For males: ensure chest length does not interfere with peeing
✔ Check if the clothing shifts during movement — proper fit stays centered
